Full-stack product

PitStop

A full-stack product built on Italy’s official fuel prices: an iOS app, a NestJS API and a Nuxt dashboard and web app — from searching the map to managing stations, prices and users.

From price comparison to platform

PitStop helps people find Italy’s official fuel prices and reach the station in just a few taps. I built it as a full-stack product: an iOS app, a backend API and web interfaces that share the same data and the same flows.

iOS app

A native SwiftUI experience centred on the map: station clusters, updates as you move, filters by fuel type, favourites, a detail view with opening hours and prices (self-service/full service), history and onboarding. Authentication, profile and notifications complete the user journey from first launch to the chosen station.

Backend API

A NestJS API that ties together stations, prices, users and search. It provides geographic and full-text search (Meilisearch), authentication, user preferences, import and refresh of the official data, queues and jobs for recurring processing, notifications, reports and metrics. PostgreSQL is the source of truth; Redis and queues handle asynchronous work.

The backend is the shared contract: the app and the web talk to the same endpoints for stations, auth and favourites.

Dashboard and web app

A Nuxt 4 frontend with two faces. The back office covers KPIs and statistics, customers, the station registry (coordinates, opening hours, prices), the approval workflow for pending prices, notifications, reports and settings. The web app brings the map experience to the browser: station search, favourites and profile, aligned with the app’s flows.

JWT auth with refresh, protected admin/user views and built-in maps to work on stations and the territory.

One product, three surfaces

The same MIMIT data, the same meaning of station and price, three interfaces: mobile for people looking to fill up, web for browsing and account management, and a dashboard for whoever manages content, price quality and users. Concept, product design and end-to-end development across the full stack.
